Name Change

Blueberry has officially changed her last name to be the same as mine and hubs.  We had our court date today.  She was nervous before we got there, told me she had butterflies.  By the time we were seated behind the long table in front of the Judge, her nerves were obvious. 

The Judge asked me a few questions and then turned to Blueberry for her set of questions.  She squeaked out the answer to "what is your birthday", but I could barely hear her and I was right next to her!  He told her he was old (that got a few chuckles throughout the courtroom) and asked her to speak up so she did and answered the rest of the questions he asked.  Some friends of ours came to be witnesses and after answering their questions it was announced the name change request had been granted and we were free to pick up a certified copy at the administration desk. 

The whole way home Blueberry was bouncing off the walls.  It was as if all those butterflies she'd been holding in had been let loose and were wildly flying around my car.  Needless to say she is one happy girl!
