After almost a year of not updating a lot has changed. We are having another baby in September. It's a boy this time! We are having a really hard time coming up with a name. Hopefully we can get it figured out in the next 11 weeks!
The other major change is that we bought a house. Not just any house but a fixer upper. We've been looking for something on the water for a couple of years but knew it would be a house that needed work as we didn't want to pay house on the water prices. This one came up recently and we jumped on it. Now that we've gotten into the remodel, I'm starting to think we are totally insane!! Basically the entire house needs work, whether it's a complete gut job or cosmetic there won't be a space that isn't touched by the time we get done. Right now we are trying to get the upstairs bedrooms and bathroom done before we move in June 30th. The bathroom has been gutted, wallpaper has been stripped in the bedrooms and now we are starting to patch cracks in the walls and ceiling and soon will be texturing and painting. After that we are going to finish the hardwood floors that are throughout. Hubs Dad has been here all week helping out which is good because there's no way we'd be as far along as we are without him!
Here are a few pics so far:
Yes, there was carpet on the floor (gross) and highly unattractive wallpaper. The guys knocked out the wall next to the toilet and opened things up into a closet that was behind that wall in the hallway. The bathroom isn't large and we are trying to utilize as much space as we can as we need to fit a bathtub. Currently there is no tub in the entire house and with little kids that doesn't work. The bathroom is a high priority!
Bathroom currently:
There are three bedrooms upstairs and two of them each had a wall with wallpaper.
Wallpaper is gone, let the patching and painting commence! The green room will be the baby's room and the pink room will be Peanut's room.
Lots of changes are going to happen in this house. It is a little overwhelming and seems like it will never be done but I just look at the view and think about what it will look like eventually on the inside and somehow it all seems worth the work and worry! Stay tuned for more updates!

Oh man, I don't envy the work you are doing!! But it's going to be awesome! I wish we could come over and help. Love you guys!
Uff - quite the project! I just don't understand why you're not keeping the carpet, wallpaper and green trim... ;-) Little by little, it'll all come together. What a peaceful backyard to enjoy in the meantime!
What a view my friend!! I love it. The home has some serious curb appeal. It will be beautiful when its done and for years to come you will all talk about the remodel and all the fun adventures and shenanigans it brought up!!
