Emotions Running High

This week has kicked my butt.  And it is only Tuesday.  Yesterday I was called into my boss' office where he sat me down to tell me that one of my co-workers had some not very nice things to say about me.  This is the third time in four years that this person has complained about me, same complaint, still nothing specific to back it up.  You would think after hearing these things from her before that it wouldn't hit me as hard as it did, but I felt horrible.  I cried.  Yes, I did.  I couldn't help it.  I felt stupid and hated myself for it but there was no stopping the tears.

When I got home last night I just felt beat down. Hubs knew that I had a bad day.  He didn't know details when I walked in the door but he knew that I was feeling pretty bad.  After saying hi, he told me to go rest for a while, that he and Blueberry would make dinner.  I decided to get my workout over with early, so while I did that they grilled hamburgers and made homemade onion rings and french fries.

Sitting down to dinner with my family I realized how lucky I really am.  My husband, who knows how to help me when I need it, he listens to me vent, even when I'm emotional and "girly".  Blueberry who cracks me up and gives the best hugs.  I am just so glad that even though my days at work may not always be pleasant and they may drain me emotionally at times, I get to go home to two people who love me, even when I may not be very lovable.  I am so thankful that work is not my life and that I have a wonderful life to go home to every day after 5:00 pm.
