One of my New Years resolutions this year was to organize and de-clutter my house. A couple of weekends ago I started with the hall closet. I didn't get any before pictures so I won't post after pictures but let me just say, it looks amazing! Last weekend I decided to tackle my kitchen. It was too cold outside to do anything anyway so I thought I'd make my day of hibernating productive.
The problem with some cupboards was simply too much wasted space. I wasn't utilizing the space inside to it's full potential, as you can see below:

One handy dandy organizer thing-a-
mah-bob later, along with a little rearranging and
wah-
lah:

The problem with other cupboards was that they were neglected and just needed a little weeding out and organizing:

After getting rid of what I don't use, I found that I could actually move the
tupperware to a smaller cupboard...

...and put what had been in the too small cupboard....

.... into the larger cupboard. Thus creating more space and less chaos!

Same went for the silverware, etc drawers:

Before my day of organizing, everything in the cupboard below was shoved in there so tight I didn't even know what I had for canned goods. Not only that, but opening that cupboard was dangerous. You never knew what was going to catapult out and knock you in the head!

After going through things, throwing out what was expired, and lining the cans neatly I can actually find what I am looking for without taking everything out and the risk factor of opening the door has decreased dramatically!
There were many other cupboards that got the over haul and even the freezer and refrigerator were not spared my thorough cleaning and organizing. It was a big job but I'm so glad that it's done. Next project, the basement. Stay tuned.....

Did you find room in your cupboards for the cereal boxes I saw stacked up by your back door last time I was over? ;)
Looks great, btw!
Can you please come over to my house and organize? Lol! I hate doing that kind of stuff!
great job re-organizing! I too have the tendency to pack and pack and re-arrange everything! I love new looks! ;)
