Pre-Wedding Part Three

Blueberry and I stayed in the same room with my Grandma that night.  It was really nice as I don't get to see my Gram very often.  I shared a bed with Blueberry and aside from the occasional kick I had a pretty good nights rest.  I was awake around 6:30 am, (guess I had too much iced tea the night before) and then Gram and I sat up and visited for a little while before we decided to get ready for breakfast. The three of us met my parents and had the breakfast buffet in our hotel.  Again, YUM!
(My nephew playing w/the creamer)

After breakfast we said goodbye to my dad and just us girls went in search of flowers for my hair.  The Rio, which was across the street had a florist and I had it on good authority we would be able to get flowers there.  I wanted orchids so off we went.  The flower shop was located inside the hotel convenience store and while we waited for someone to come out front to help us I noticed the longest bananas I've ever seen in my life.
(The bunch in the middle had a HUGE banana)

Anyway, I asked about the orchids and they did have a few in stock.  The very nice flower lady took me to the cooler and we picked out a couple of stems.

While we were paying for the orchids my mom inquired about flowers for the moms, Gram, and the dads (those were not included in our package).  After hearing the price (can't remember what it was) we decided that those flowers really weren't necessary.  The flower lady asked us to wait a minute while she ran in back.
(Blueberry found a way to be goofy while we waited)

When she came back the flower lady had corsages and boutonnieres for the moms, Gram and the dads and she told us to take them and have a wonderful day!  So, I would just like to give a shout out to the flower shop in the Rio... they were awesome!!  Armed with our flowers we walked back to the hotel so I could shower and get ready for Evelyn the hair lady to come and make me beautimus.

Evelyn arrived in all her big hair glory and started setting up her arsenal of hair tools and product:
I have to admit, when she first walked in I was a little scared.  Once she got to work I was still a little nervous.  She was yanking and pulling and a few times I wondered if there would even be any hair left on my head when she was through.
But, when she was done...

It was amazing.   I am so, so glad I had my hair professionally done.  Hubs was glad too. He was afraid I was going to have one of my famous bad hair days and then he would have to forever hear about how I loved everything about the day except my hair.  After my hair was made gorgeous it was time for Blueberry to move into the cloud of hairspray.  (By the way, I think she used a whole entire can of hairspray on my hair.  It was literally getting hard to breathe.)

Blueberry looked beautiful.  I was given a glimpse of what she will look like in a few years and let me tell you, the boys will be swarming and I will be out with my BB gun!

After hair it was time to get dressed:

And meet everyone for the ride to the Valley of Fire...
