Today was Blueberry's first day of fourth grade. I can't believe she is in fourth grade already. Seems like yesterday she was in Kindergarten. For some reason today hit me a lot harder than any year has since Kindergarten. I actually shed a couple of tears watching her walk to the bus stop. (Her stop is to the left, at the corner by the street sign)
She is getting so grown up and yet in my mommy heart she is still so little. This motherhood thing is very bitter sweet. She was so excited to go off on her new adventure this morning, I wanted to keep her close.
When I picked her up from daycare she was super excited and told me that her day was awesome, she loves her teacher and she can't wait for tomorrow. I am so happy she had a good day and I think fourth grade will be the best year yet.
